Orny Adams (born Adam J. Orenstein[1]) is an American actor, comedy writer and stand-up comic.[2]

Adams is a native of Lexington, Massachusetts.[1] He graduated from Lexington High School in 1989, then earned a bachelors degree from Emory University in 1993, majoring in political science philosophy.[1]
Adams has made appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,[3][4][5][6] and Late Show with David Letterman.[7][8] Along with Jerry Seinfeld, Adams is a subject of the 2002 documentary, Comedian.[9] He has named Garry Shandling as an influence with whom he stays in touch.[8]
Adams' comedy DVD/CD, Path of Most Resistance, was released on November 10, 2006.[1] [8] On October 29, 2010, Adams' one-hour comedy special, Orny Adams Takes The Third premiered on Comedy Central.[10]
In 2007 CBS Television Distribution and Yahoo! announced a development deal with Ashton Kutcher’s production company Katalyst for Tube, to be hosted by Adams and featuring viral videos, comedy bits and sketches.[11] In 2011, Adams was cast as Coach Bobby Finstock for the MTV series Teen Wolf.[12]
